Since joining Accent Podiatry Associates in 2002, Dr. Dharmesh Bhakta has been dedicated to providing expert foot and ankle care to patients of all ages. His journey in medicine began at the University of California, Riverside, where he earned a degree in Biochemistry with a minor in Mathematics. He then pursued his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at the California School of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco, graduating in 2000.

Dr. Bhakta continued his advanced medical training with a podiatric internship at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, gaining hands-on experience in both hospital and community-based foot care. He further honed his surgical expertise through a residency in podiatric surgery at Englewood Hospital in New Jersey.

Board-certified in foot surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, Dr. Bhakta is also a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and holds Wound Care Certification from the Woundcare Education Institute. He remains actively engaged in professional organizations, including the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) and the Texas Podiatric Medical Association (TPMA).

His clinical expertise spans a wide range of specialties, including pediatric foot conditions, reconstructive surgery, sports-related injuries, wound care, and limb salvage. Additionally, he has a strong focus on treating peripheral nerve disorders.

Beyond his medical practice, Dr. Bhakta enjoys hitting the golf course and giving back to the community through local outreach and service initiatives.

 

Dr. Shae Paschal, DPM, FACFAS

Dr. Paschal joined Accent Podiatry Associates in October 2009 after completing a three year surgical residency in Miami, Florida. He completed his undergraduate work at the University of Texas at Arlington, where he received his bachelor’s degree in Biology. He then moved to south Florida, where he completed his medical training at Barry University’s School of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery.

After podiatry school, Dr. Paschal completed a three year podiatric medicine and surgical residency at Jackson North Medical Center, a Jackson Memorial health care affiliate.

Dr. Paschal is an Associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and a member of the Texas Podiatric Medical Association and American Podiatric Medical Association.

He specializes in forefoot and reconstructive surgery, trauma, sports injuries, limb salvage and wound care. Dr. Paschal is very happy to be back home in Texas!

 

Jacob Jasper, DPM, FACFAS

Dr. Jasper completed his undergraduate training at Arizona State University in Tempe, Az. He graduated Cum Laude in 2010 with a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science. He then went on to complete his 4-year medical training at Midwestern University’s School of Podiatric Medicine in Glendale, Az. After receiving his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine, he attended the highly regarded Baylor Scott and White Medical Center located in central Texas where he spent three years in extensive surgical training and education in forefoot and rearfoot/ankle reconstructive surgery. He served as the chief resident during his third year of training. His surgical residency consisted of a wide variety of patients including: trauma, sports medicine, and diabetic limb salvage. He currently is an associate member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.

Dr. Jasper is married to Kalli and they have three wonderful children. Prior to his medical training, he had the opportunity to do a service mission in Southern Italy. He embraced Italian food and now loves cooking true Italian cuisine for his family. He also enjoys helping out in the community and spending time with his family and friends.

 

Parth Bhakta, DPM, FACFAS

Dr. Bhakta completed his undergraduate work at The University of Texas at Austin, majoring in Biochemistry. He then pursued his podiatric medical degree at the California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, California and received his degree in 2018. Dr. Bhakta continued his post-graduate training by completing a residency at Hunt Regional Medical Center in Greenville, Texas that focused extensively on forefoot and rearfoot/ankle reconstructive surgery. Dr. Bhakta also participated in a short internship at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas that emphasized limb salvage and woundcare. He is currently an associate member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.

Dr. Bhakta and his wife, Le, are proud parents of their fur baby Bruno. When not hard at work Dr. Bhakta enjoys photography, golf, and of course all things his Alma Mater, Hook ‘em.

 

Abhin Kumar, DPM, FACFAS

Dr. Kumar completed his undergraduate work at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. He graduated with University Honors in 2013 with a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences. He then pursued his podiatric medical degree at California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, CA and received his degree in 2017. Dr. Kumar continued his post-graduate training in his hometown Farmington Hills, MI. He completed a three-year surgical residency focused extensively on forefoot and rearfoot/ankle reconstructive surgery at Beaumont Farmington Hills Botsford Campus. Dr. Kumar also participated in a short fellowship at Bako Diagnostics in Alpharetta, GA that focused on podiatric dermatopathology. Dr. Kumar has spent the past 3 years in Memphis, TN and has a special interest in limb salvage and wound care.

Dr. Kumar enjoys watching sports, working out, and spending time with friends and family. He is excited to be in Texas and call it home!

 

Steve Silvey, LPT, CWC

Steve completed his degree in physical therapy at Daemen College in Amherst, New York in 1996.  In addition to being a physical therapist, Steve is also a certified wellness coach.  

Having worked with the athletic population since earning his physical therapy degree, Steve enjoys providing exercise-based programming for injury prevention and rehabilitation.

Currently providing both electromyograms and nerve conduction studies, Steve plans to pursue a residency program this year in clinical electrophysiology.

Steve is a member of the Texas Physical Therapy Association and American Physical Therapy Association.

 

Sharrian Reed, PTA

Sharrian Reed

Sharrian Reed received her Associates degree of Applied Science at Concorde College in Memphis, Tennessee in 2013. She became licensed as PTA in the state of Texas the same year.

Since graduating, Sharrian has worked in a number of therapy settings to gain experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant. She enjoys working in outpatient and orthopedic settings that focuses on rehabilitation and maintaining maximum strength for optimal well-being.

During her down-time, Sharrian is currently studying to become a Certified Wound Care technician.

Sharrian is a member of the Texas Physical Therapy Association.
